Marketing Account Manager

Located in Dallas, Texas, CZG is seeking an experienced nonprofit marketing professional to join our exclusive team as a Marketing Account Manager. This position will assist two senior account managers with existing clients while learning more about our approach to planned giving and CZG’s operational model. A successful candidate will be ready to assume ownership of at least two of these existing accounts within two months. You will work both independently and as part of our team to develop and deploy direct mail and digital (social media/email) marketing campaigns. Responsibilities include client engagement and relationship building, strategic campaign and content development, expense budgeting and results analysis, creative input, and campaign/production management. At least three years of nonprofit marketing experience within an internal marketing department or in an agency setting is required. Planned giving knowledge or experience is highly desired.


Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Have or develop a detailed understanding of planned gifts marketing strategy and the special considerations of marketing to an older, senior audience.
  • Maintain relationships and serve as primary contact for multiple clients.
  • Work with internal creative team and external vendors to develop and deploy effective marketing campaigns.
  • Create content for direct mail, email, and social media promotions.
  • Manage budget, production, and delivery of all campaign types.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and data analytics on campaign strategy and results processing.
  • Make recommendations on enhancements related to current and/or previous marketing initiatives and processes.
  • Identify ways to innovate content creation & distribution, including new formats, strategic partnerships, and opportunities for placement.


  • Must have 3 years of marketing experience including direct mail, digital. and social media.
  • Ability to work independently to meet goals and deadlines.
  • Strong writing, editing, and creative skills.
  • Highly developed planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interpret large amounts of data and convert it into meaningful analysis.
  • Willing to support all departments as needed to ensure every team member has a happy and healthy work/life balance.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Education and Experience:

  • Three years of successful account management experience in a marketing or advertising environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, English, or Creative Arts preferred, but not required.
